Mr. Arun Gupta is the Founder and Managing Partner of Factum Legal and a Corporate Lawyer, Insolvency Professional, Data Privacy Practitioner, Author, and Strategic Legal Advisor with nearly three decades of experience. He is a Master’s in Law (LLM), a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), an Insolvency Professional registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), a DSCI Certified Privacy Professional, and presently practicing as an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Gupta has advised multinational corporations, promoters, investors, boards of directors, in-house legal teams, and General Counsels on complex corporate, commercial, regulatory, and strategic matters. He brings a board-level perspective to complex legal and business challenges, combining legal expertise with commercial understanding to develop pragmatic and sustainable solutions.

Mr. Gupta has extensive experience in advising companies and their stakeholders through corporate restructuring and business reorganisation, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, shareholder and management arrangements, corporate exits, and insolvency-related processes. He has developed particular expertise in advising MNC’s for their efficient exit by closure of entity under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, and is among India's leading Insolvency Professionals in the area of corporate exits for solvent companies.

His governance practice extends to advising boards and senior management on corporate governance frameworks, directors' responsibilities, regulatory compliance, stakeholder matters, restructuring strategies, and business continuity considerations. He also serves on the boards of leading Indian corporates as an Independent Director, including entities within the Bharti Airtel and OYO Group ecosystems, where he contributes to corporate governance, regulatory oversight, and strategic decision-making. His board-level exposure further strengthens his ability to understand and address legal issues from both an advisory and business leadership perspective.

Since founding Factum Legal in 2013, Mr. Gupta has led the Firm's growth and development as a corporate legal practice with a focus on complex corporate, restructuring, insolvency, and regulatory matters.
